Q: Is this a school?
It will be a school. Currently it is an Initiative, an effort to start a school.

Q: When the school plan to operate?
The current schedule is to open in Fall 2008.

Q: Do you have teachers?

The initiative is collecting resumes. There is a Montessori teacher training center in Portland, one of the 6 in U.S. We are lucky that teachers are not a problem.

Q: Do you have enough students?

Within 3 miles from center of Forest Heights, there are more than 300 families have kids are turning 3 each year. We already have had a good response from families in the neighborhood.

Q: How about location?

We are currently pursuing a number of options that look promising. Finding the right location is the most difficult aspect of starting a new school in Oregon. If you are aware of any locations, please contact us.

Q: Why Montessori?

The initiator Lillian choose Montessori as the teaching methold for the new preschool, because among the 8 preschools within driving distance that she visited, only true Montessori schools tend to provide children with quality teachers and attactive/challenging environment.
