A typical Montessori classroom is composed of children between the ages of 3 and 6. It usually recommended that Children enrolling in a Montessori program either be entering at the age of 2.5 to 3 years old, or already have been to a Montessori School.
The majority of the new students for the new preschool will be between the ages 2.5 to 3 year old and must be fully potty trained (or course accidents do happen). However, if your child is transferring from another Montessori School and is older than 4 or 5 years old by 1st September we will consider the application. In addition, we are considering a transition programme prior to the start of the school year for children 4 and older that have not been to a Montessori School before
Oregon requires a ratio of a maximum of 10 children to 1 teacher. We have identified potential English and Mandarin teachers already (no final decisions yet, if you know somebody good, email us). Based on the response we will look to acommodate up to 20 new students when the school starts.
